Newspapers for the Blind
About US

NewspapersForTheBlind.ORG was conceived in the face of cutbacks to radio newspaper reading, as a more efficient means to bring newspaper
news to those who are so truly bereft of traditional access.

We undertake a system of reading newspaper articles- to be audible to the severely hearing impaired- using a system navigable by the blind.
This is called Newspapercasting.

Mr. May conceived of Newspapercasting after experience with a Cochlear Ear implantee who gradually lost the ability to read.  Dr. Boas joined
Mr. May to actualize on the Internet the one-to-one prior experience worldwide. Audiologists helped design the speech-mapping for the
Newspapercasts, to reconcile the special needs of the hearing-impaired blind, not met by synthetic speech.

Ms. Mills, brings ten years prior experience in non-profit organization and oversight, having been a long term past president of
the Ladies Christian Union, one of New York Citys eldest eleemosynary institutions.

Our three dozen readers, culled from 3000 auditions, bring the precise vocal skills to reach and meet our unique audience.
